Cardi B and Stefon Diggs simply made us swoon with their hard launch earlier this year and surprised us even more when they welcomed their first child together in November. But, nearly two months after Cardi gave birth to their son, Stefon posted a series of Instagram Stories that insinuated they celebrated Christmas separately.
On Christmas Day, he reshared the “Bodega Baddie” rapper’s post, in which she held their son in front of a lit-up tree while hiding his face.
“Miss yaw!!! Don’t be squeezing him too tight you making him soft,” Stefon wrote alongside the snap, which features a makeup-free Cardi.
As for why the couple spent the holiday apart, celebrity blogger and one of Cardi’s close friends, Ken Davis (known online as KenBarbie) revealed what could have led to the decision.
“Cardi has her own kids, Stefon does to,” Ken wrote on social media, adding, “If baby moms are on some ‘my kids can’t come unless I’m there’ then that’s just what it is but my nieces and nephews ain’t gonna be around it.”
They continued, “There’s no secrets, no surprises. They’re still a fairly new couple, so shit would just have to be figured over time. It is what it is.”
In another post, they came to the Grammy winner’s defense, writing, “If Stefon didn’t spend the holiday with his kids, that would be insane. Cardi has three other kids, and who’s talking them around all those different energies? There’s really no breaking news here but I’m glad y’all finally wrap it up in a bow heading into the new year. NEXT.”
Ken’s claims check out, since the NFL wide receiver also shared a few sweet pics with his other children before showing love to Cardi. “One of my boys first Christmas,” he captioned the post, where he’s seen carrying his and K’yanna Barber’s son in front of a New England Patriots-themed tree. In another slide, the athlete cuddled up to his baby girl, whom he shares with Cayy Benji.
Well, nothing to see here! It seems like these two are still going strong, especially since Cardi supported Stefon at the Patriots’ game against the New York Jets on Sunday, December 28.
